Installing CF8 on New MacBook Pro 64bit Java Update Problem? Anyone help me?
Posted on November 6, 2008, under Uncategorized.
I’m reading that it has to do with a Java update and that the only way to fix it is to either reinstall Leopard which I think is stupid, or to run this script that will set your JDK version back. I did the script and it still shows the error. I’ve restarted it and everything.
Here is the exact screenshot:

at the moment it looks like if you’ve installed the ‘Java for mac os X 10.5 update 2′ then all the versions of java on your machine are not on the supported jvm list for mac os x 64-bit.
i explain the reasons in a little more detail on my blog post about this… http://blog.ciqala.com/2008/10/update-incompatibility-between-os-x.html
but it seems like the only way to fix this is to wait until Adobe pull their finger out and add support to their installer for the latest version of Java 5 (although 6 would also be pretty cool too)
